These are rules, not suggestions
The setter checks sending limits before every reply and follow-up. Campaigns have their own first-contact and sending-window checks. What none of these checks can do is establish that you had permission to text a person in the first place. That part is yours.
Quiet hours
Campaign first messages, follow-ups and appointment texts go out between 8am and 8pm in the lead's time zone. A reply to a lead who just texted you is allowed at any hour, because they started it. A missing or invalid time zone holds the send rather than guessing.
How many messages a lead can get
Follow-ups stop once a conversation has reached eight outbound messages in the past 24 hours. Replies to new inbound messages do not count against that cap. Campaign first contacts have their own per-line daily cap and are spread across the day. Appointment texts are one attempt per appointment.
STOP
A STOP, or any plain request not to be contacted, blocks every further message to that contact in the workspace, including from you. There is no override. Only the person can reopen it, with START or another explicit opt-in keyword. If you run other workspaces, stop messaging them there too.
Links
The setter will not send a link, phone number or attachment until the lead has written back at least once, and only when links are allowed for your workspace. A cold first message with a link is the fastest way to get a number flagged, so the product refuses to send one.
Your obligations
Only text people who gave you consent to be texted. Purchased, scraped and directory lists are not consent and will get a line shut down. The messaging policy is the document to read before you import anything you did not collect yourself.
Questions people ask
- Can I message someone after they reply STOP?
- No. Only they can reopen it by texting START or a similar opt-in keyword. The product has no manual override.
- Why did a follow-up not go out overnight?
- Follow-ups wait for 8am in the lead's time zone. It will send in the morning.
